Burns

 

Assessment

  1. Burn injury formula: intensity of the burn agent X length of time agent is in contact with the body.
  2. Burn severity may be difficult to determine. Consider: pain, sensation, blisters, feeling, and color.
  3. If in doubt contact a physician ASAP.
  4. Apply BurnRx to minor burns to control mild burn pain, itch, and swelling.
  5. If infection occurs consult a physician.
  6. If redness, blistering, or pain is severe or persists consult a physician.
  7. Re-apply BurnRx to control burn symptoms.
  8. If necessary, take over-the-counter medication to control burn symptoms.
  9. If skin peel occurs use lotions to soften and soothe skin dryness.

Sunburns

  1. Apply cool cloths to the sunburned area.
  2. Take cool showers or baths for relief.
  3. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
  4. Apply BurnRx to minor burns.
  5. If redness, blistering, or pain is severe or does not subside consult a physician.
  6. Re-apply BurnRx to control minor burn symptoms.
  7. If necessary, take over-the-counter medication to control burn symptoms.
  8. If skin peel occurs use lotions to soften and soothe skin dryness.
