Personal Spider Bite Care Plan

Bite
- Wash the bite
with soap and water.
- Apply a cool
compress.
- Apply BiteRx.
- If necessary,
take OTC medication to control pain or itching.
- Antibiotics
are not helpful unless the wound is infected.
- Do not cut or
apply suction to the wound.
- Monitor the
bite for redness, swelling, pain, or signs of infection.
- Re-apply BiteRx
to control bite
symptoms and promote healing.
- If redness,
swelling or pain does not subside or there are signs of infection see
your physician.
Bug Bite
- Apply a cold
compress or ice pack to the bite for 15-20 minutes every hour for the
first 6 hours. Don't
put ice directly on the skin.
- If necessary,
elevate the bite area to decrease swelling.
- Apply BiteRx.
- If necessary,
take OTC medication to control itching, pain, redness or
swelling.
- Antibiotics
are not helpful unless the wound becomes infected.
- Monitor the
bite for redness, swelling, pain or signs of infection.
- Re-apply BiteRx
to control bite
symptoms and promote healing.
- If swelling
persists apply warm compresses to the bite for relief.
- If
redness, swelling or pain does not subside or there are signs of
infection see your physician.
- Avoid
scratching or breaking bite blisters as they may lead to infection.
